Online Alzheimer's tests are inaccurate and are often driven by conflicting interests, according to a report by Forbes. Such tests are often offered by companies that sell products targeted towards Alzheimer's patients, and are geared more toward profitability than accuracy.
While online Alzheimer's tests tend to be inaccurate, lists of common symptoms are widely available from verified sources. Common symptoms of Alzheimer's include disruptive memory loss, changes in planning and problem solving, difficulty completing familiar tasks, confusion with time or place, and issues engaging in conversation, according to the Alzheimer's Association. Other symptoms include misplacing personal possessions, poor judgement, social and professional withdrawal, and changes in mood and personality.
