Occupational therapy is generally not available online as of 2015. Occupational therapists focus on improving functional physical abilities and task performance in a manner that requires their physical presence.
Occupational therapists typically must meet with and evaluate their clients in person to properly judge the appropriate intervention for a specific client. In addition, occupational therapists often help instruct clients in specific exercises and the use of therapeutic equipment, and must observe the client's performance to evaluate the proper execution of exercises and therapeutic progress. While advances in technology may make these tasks possible remotely at some point in the future, it is generally not possible for an occupational therapist to perform the tasks over the Internet.
