Mini steppers can be used while a person is standing or sitting unlike a full-size stepper, notes Hauptman. A person can place a mini stepper under a desk to burn extra calories during the day. Mini steppers help to work and tone the lower body. This machine targets the legs and hips. A person may never reach the same calorie-burning power as a full-size stepper, but a 150-pound individual can still burn over 400 calories per hour.
