A mini facelift is generally performed in a surgeon's personal facility, an outpatient surgery center, or a hospital treatment center, states Dr. Antell. The majority of mini facelifts are performed under the combination of local anesthesia and a light sedative. This numbs the face, relaxes the patient, and removes the need for general anesthesia.
Some surgeons suggest hospitalization for a day if certain conditions arise, such as high blood pressure, notes Dr. Antell. Most patients are able to operate normally after just a day or two of recovery time but should still be mindful as facial tissue may be tender or numb.Learn more about Health
