The Lifestyle Lift is a less invasive facelift that targets the lower part of an individual's face, according to CBS 8 News. The procedure aims to tighten the deep layer of tissue underneath the person's face, rather than the skin itself.
One of the unique features of the Lifestyle Lift is that it does not require general anesthesia, according to CBS 8 News. This is beneficial because many older customers are drawn toward the procedure. Many potential customers, however, are unsure about the specifics of the procedure, with many thinking that it is not an actual facelift. Part of this confusion may be due to the Lifestyle Lift corporation, which made a settlement with Florida's attorney general in regards to claims that the company used deceptive marketing campaigns. Additionally, New York's attorney general found evidence that employees of the Lifestyle Lift corporation had created numerous fake websites and written fake reviews in order to make the company's product look better.
Beyond those findings, the effectiveness of the procedure is difficult to determine, according to CBS 8 News. While some of the 170,000 surgeries performed by Lifestyle Lift as of 2013 resulted in dissatisfied clients, the company itself maintains that its procedure has a complication rate of less than half of a single percent.
