The lemon juice cleansing diet is done by consuming a liquid-only diet for 10 days minimum, during which time you consume only three things: a lemon juice beverage, a salt and water drink and an herbal laxative tea. Also known as the lemonade diet or Master Cleanse, this diet claims to detox your digestive system, curb cravings for unhealthy foods and increase your energy levels.
During the lemon juice cleansing diet, you cannot eat solid food or drink alcohol for the first 10 days. After this point, you are able to add foods back into your diet such as juice and soup, and then raw vegetables and fruits.
