Fungal infections on the skin are very common. Some of the most common fungal skin infections are athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm and yeast infections, according to WebMD. Athlete's foot involves a peeling, cracking and scaling of the feet and most commonly occurs between the two smallest toes.
Jock itch is an infection around the inner thighs, genitals and buttocks and is most common among people living in warm, humid climates. Ringworm appears as a red ring on the skin, or overlapping rings on the skin, and is often scaly.
