Kids can get nice abs if they do crunches often to define the ab muscles and get rid of excess fat in the midsection. Kids should eat a healthy, balanced diet that is high in protein and low in fatty foods. It is also important to work out often but to give the abdominal muscles a resting period so the muscles won't become too sore.
- Do crunches
Crunches are one of the most effective exercises for getting healthy abdominal muscles. Crunches are done by lying the back and bending the knees with the feet planted on the ground. Arms should be positioned behind the head and the head, neck and upper back should be brought up to the knees to work the abdominal muscles.
- Eat a healthy diet
A high-protein diet is essential for getting defined abs. However, the proteins should be baked and not fried. Foods that are high in fat such as burgers and fries are not recommended for a healthy diet, especially when it comes to obtaining a flat stomach.
- Stick to a routine
A routine that consists of a balanced diet and regular exercise will improve ab muscles. Giving the muscles time to rest will develop them and prevent injury. In general, one day of working out should be followed by one day of rest.
