WellCare is a sponsor of Medicare Part D. It offers insurance coverage on prescriptions to those who enroll in other Medicare plans, reports WellCare. There are multiple types of pharmacies in the WellCare network including retail, mail-service and long-term care. At WellCare's preferential pharmacies, there may be a lower co-payment. Those who qualify for additional assistance will have lower premiums and pharmacy costs.
It is not possible to enroll in two prescription drug plans at one time, so those who enroll in a different plan will not be eligible for WellCare's Plan, notes WellCare. If a person enrolls and does not pay his premium for three months, it is possible WellCare will remove him from their plan. Benefits and costs of this plan are subject to change at the start of each new year.Learn more about Medications & Vitamins
