The myUHC Health assessment contains questions that aimed at helping individuals learn their current health status. These are questions about, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, drug history, and heart health problems. The assessment takes 15 minutes to complete and the individual receives immediate feedback, according to the United Health comptroller.
The health assessment helps individuals identify individual health needs and helps them learn healthy habits that can help the individual reach his optimum health. According the United Healthcare comptroller, individuals are able to compare their lifestyle score with those of other people of the same age and gender. This comparison helps a person know whether his score is below average, normal or above average.
After the assessment, the system creates a personalized experience online for each person who takes the test, says the United Healthcare comptroller. People who take the test also have access to resources that can help them improve their current health status such as quizzes, exercise programs, nutrition and meal planning and action steps to reach their health goals.
A health coach can recommend up to three improvement programs depending on the individual’s score. According to United Healthcare, the improvement programs can be weight management, exercise, nutrition, tobacco cessation, stress management, heart health lifestyle and diabetes lifestyle.
