Turnip fries, oatmeal zucchini muffins and rotini are three Ideal Protein Phase 1 recipes. These recipes call for ingredients suitable for the Ideal Protein Phase 1 diet, such as Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal, Ideal Protein Rotini packets and stevia.
To make turnip fries, cut 1 peeled turnip into wedges, and toss the wedges with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika in a plastic bag, and shake it to mix the spices. Place the turnip wedges into the bag, and shake until the wedges are evenly coated with the seasonings. Spread the turnip wedges on a baking sheet, and bake them for 20 minutes at 425 F, turning them over halfway.
To make oatmeal zucchini muffins, combine 1 beaten egg with 1 package of Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal, 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of stevia and 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon, along with 1/2 of a grated small zucchini. Mix well, and add enough water to make a batter. Bake the muffins at 385 F for 20 minutes.
To make rotini, cook 2 Ideal Protein Rotini packets in water for 12 to 15 minutes. Cook 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms, 1/4 cup of diced onions and 1 small bunch of spinach leaves over medium heat in a small skillet coated with olive oil. Once the mushrooms and spinach become tender, add 1 can of stewed tomatoes and 1 tablespoon of chopped basil. Simmer the sauce for five to 10 minutes, and stir in the drained pasta.
