Some side effects of hydrocortisone are redness, burning or itching at the site of application. If the condition persists or gets worse, use should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
This drug is not recommended for children under 2 years old, pregnant women or breastfeeding women unless prescribed by a doctor. The doctor or pharmacist should be informed of certain allergies that may react with hydrocortisone or the drug's inactive ingredients to avoid unwanted problems.
