Human growth hormone is not an effective means to control aging for all ages of men, notes Harvard Men's Health Watch. Researchers have found that individuals who received the hormone treatment acquired 4.6 pounds of lean body mass and lost the same amount of body fat. The FDA has not approved the use of HGH to slow aging or improve athletic performance, and it is illegal to sell the hormone for these purposes. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the most recommended method to stay youthful and to reduce risk of serious diseases.Learn more about Side Effects
