According to Discover Magazine, drinking too much milk equals more than one glass a day, and is associated with mortality and fractures in both men and women. This information is based on a cohort study conducted in three counties in central Sweden, as of 2014.
The study surveyed a cohort of 61,433 women and another of 45,339 men, beginning in the 1980s. In both cohorts, the study resulted in a positive correlation between milk consumption and death. A higher risk of fracturing was observed in the female cohort. It should be noted that correlation does not equal causation, states Discover Magazine, and more research is needed.
