Women's Health Magazine publishes some good weight loss juice cleanse recipes. The Collard Cooler, Blake's Go-To Drink and the Lift-Off are all simple and easy to make.
To make the Collard Cooler, combine two collard green leaves, 2 1/2 medium apples, 1/2 medium cucumber, two stalks celery, 1/2 peeled medium lemon and 1/2 peeled medium lime in a juicer. Using apples eliminates the need for other sweeteners.
To make Blake's Go-To Drink, combine 1 cup kale, two Swiss chard leaves, 1/2 cup parsley, 1/2 small beet, 1/2 cup pineapple, two medium green apples, a sprig of fresh mint and 1/2 medium peeled lemon in a juicer. The parsley and beets are natural diuretics, which help to eliminate excess fluid from the body.
To make the Lift-Off, combine two Swiss chard leaves, two collard green leaves, 1 cup kale, 1 cup spinach and 1/2 medium cucumber. Add 1-inch peeled fresh ginger root and 1/2 peeled medium lemon with the other ingredients in a juicer. Dark leafy greens are rich in calcium and help with weight loss.
To maximize weight lost benefits and retain the maximum fiber content from the ingredients, make a blender juice using any of these recipes. To do so, add all of the ingredients in the recipe to a blender with some water, and blend.
