Combining high-intensity treadmill intervals with strength training, such as Tabata drills, is a good way to reduce cellulite through exercise, according to fitness expert Joe Dowdell. Strength training improves muscle tone, while high intensity cardio burns a good amount of calories in a short amount of time.
One example of a treadmill interval workout involves walking at an easy pace for two minutes, walking briskly for another two minutes, doing a side shuffle for the next two minutes and then walking backwards for two more minutes, advises Dowdell. The next part of the workout involves jogging for one minute, doing lunge twists for another minute, then increasing the speed and repeating the process. Walking slowly for another four minutes completes the workout.
