The most common type of home workout is the push-up. Push-ups can greatly benefit the pectoral muscles. Variations of push-ups include the standard push-up with arms at shoulder length, as well as the v-push-up with the hands forming a "v" while doing a push-up. This works the pectorals and the shoulder muscles together.
Another common type of home workout is the crunch or sit-up. Lay on your back with your feet on the ground and knees in the air, then lift your head to your knees continually to work out the abdominal muscles and the core of the body. Another workout for the core of the body is planking.
