It is best to elevate the heart rate for at least 30 minutes. Once the heart rate is up, perform strength training exercises for the belly and chest area. Pick out three or four exercises that target the core, chest, shoulders and arms. Do three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions. Try to vary these exercises on a daily basis, as the muscles respond better to variety.
