The Provider Locator asks the user to input his zip code; network, if known; and other information that may be relevant, such as hours and scheduling, services, products and frame brands. The request for information in addition to the zip code helps to determine the most appropriate provider(s) in an area.

The supported networks identified on EyeMed's Provider Locator are Access, Insight, Select and Advantage. EyeMed has more than 65,000 in-network providers located across the United States, including LensCrafters®, Sears Optical® , Target Optical®, JCPenney Optical®, and most Pearle Vision® locations. This allows members to select an independent provider or a retailer who offers extended evening and weekend hours, according to EyeMed.

All of the EyeMed in-network optometrists and ophthalmologists are DPA/TPA- or DEA-certified. DPA refers to Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agents, TPA is Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents, and DEA is the Drug Enforcement Administration, explains EyeCareProfessions.com. EyeMed notes that product assortment and available brands vary by provider location.
