According to the Huffington Post, exercises that can create the appearance of longer legs include the balance plié and lunges in relevé. Doing these exercises will tone the quadriceps and make them appear longer.

According to the Huffington Post, a workout to lengthen the appearance of one's legs should take no longer than 30 minutes. The workout can be done with a chair for balance. The balance plié starts with the heels together. From there the heels are raised off the floor with the knees kept bent for balance. A chair can be used for balance. The next step is to bend the legs farther, keeping in the plié position and making sure the shoulders are over the hips and the hips are over the heels. The final step is to return to the starting position.

To get started doing the lunges in relevé, the Huffington Post instructs the exerciser to face a chair and put both hands on the chair for balance. One leg should be forward with the knee over the ankle and the other leg should stretch behind the body preparing for the lunge. The front foot is raised onto the toes in a relevé position with the back leg lunging at a 90 degree angle. The front knee must stay over the ankle. The exercise should be repeated with alternating legs.
