Health East offers the Health Alert personal emergency response service.
The Community Care Program of the Illinois Department of Aging offers the Emergency Home Response Service for the elderly, which consists of a 24-hour emergency communication link that puts the patient in instant contact with staff support, and vice versa.
The Health East Care System provides a similar Health Alert program to individuals in regions of Wisconsin. This program equips seniors with an electronic device that offers current monitoring and contact with health agents. The device has cellular technology that enables health workers to quickly locate the individual in need. Other features include 36-hour standby battery life, fall detection that senses falls and contacts emergency response units and subscriber customization features.
The Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs is a different home care program that targets specifically low-income households with at least one person over 60 years of age. It provides aid with home energy costs.
