EatingWell's 7-Day Diabetes Meal Plan is available at EatingWell.com. To access the meal plan, select Weight Loss and Diet Plans from the drop-down menu under the Diet and Health heading. At the bottom of the new page, select Diet Meal Plans, and then find the heading for 7-Day Meal Plans. As of September 2015, the 7-Day Diabetes Meal Plan is listed first under the main heading.
The EatingWell 7-Day Diabetes Meal Plan is customizable by a person's daily caloric needs, and users can select meal plans for diets ranging from 1,200 calories per day to 2,000 calories per day in 200-calorie increments, according to EatingWell. The meal plan for each day includes breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner. The meal plans are designed to limit sugars and refined grains while helping diabetics keep their blood sugar levels within normal limits.
While the meal plans do not offer complete nutritional breakdowns for each meal or snack, depending on calorie level, snacks equal one to 2 1/2 carbohydrate servings, and meals equal 2 1/2 to five carbohydrate servings, explains EatingWell.
