"Doga" is a portmanteau word that combines "yoga" and "dogs," and this is a very apt word to describe the practice. Doga, or doggie yoga, is a form of yoga practice in which human practitioners bring their canine companions to a specially designated doga class.
For the most part, the canine participants in a doga class are simply hanging around and enjoying the company of their humans. The human participants are typically going through a variety of different yoga poses, many of which include contact with the dog. Participants and instructors describe this as a bonding experience in which humans and dogs can spend uninterrupted time with each other.
