Diet drink recipes that contain vinegar include weight loss water and Dr. Oz’s secret slimdown drink. Other diet recipes that include vinegar are chile, cilantro and garlic vinegar salsa and vinegar-based salad dressings.
To make Dr. Oz’s vinegar drink, mix 1 cup of grapefruit juice and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. If the drink is too strong, add 1 teaspoon of honey for sweetness. The vitamin C from the grapefruit juice and the acetic acid from the vinegar helps the body burn fat.
To make a diet vinegar-based salad dressing, whisk together 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 3 to 4 drops of liquid Stevia, 1/2 tablespoon of Bragg’s Liquid Aminos and 1 teaspoon of finely ground flax seeds. Add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper, 1/2 clove of finely grated garlic and a dash of salt. Whisk all ingredients until smooth.
Add chile, cilantro and garlic vinegar to chopped tomatoes and onions to create a salsa dish, or use the vinegar alone as a marinade. For this recipe, preheat 3 pint-sized canning jars in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. Equally divide 6 cloves of garlic, 12 springs of fresh cilantro and 3 hot chili peppers into the glass jars.
In a large saucepan, bring 6 cups of distilled white vinegar to a simmer. Add equal portions of vinegar to each jar and seal tightly. Allow the jars to rest in a cool, dark place for three to four weeks. Use a cheesecloth to strain the finished product.
