What Is Continuous Training Exercise?

According to The University of Sheffield, continuous training is a method of intense exercise that can last from 30 minutes to two hours without breaks. Continuous training exercise is used in simple weight loss plans as well as for training for marathon events.

The University of Sheffield lists the advantages of continuous training as these: it is the most effective method for burning calories, it improves the lactate threshold in the body, it improves cardiovascular function and it makes use of the same muscles used in competition when combined with sports training. Over-performing of continuous exercise could lead to the body adapting to a lower intensity of exertion and effect one’s pace/ tempo training used in sports.
