Common skin rashes found in adults include psoriasis, eczema, heat rash, hives, and rosacea. Many types of skin rashes can often be treated by taking antibiotics or applying antifungal creams.
Skin rashes are a common condition in both adults and children and usually cause considerable itching and discomfort. In adults, psoriasis, eczema and rosacea are the most common causes of recurrent skin rashes. Psoriasis involves patches of dry, scaly hard skin. Eczema is similar to psoriasis, however psoriasis usually appears with large scaly patches while eczema does not. Rosacea is sometimes referred to as adult acne, similar in appearance to the acne vulgaris that commonly appears during childhood and teenage years.
