Doctors advise patients suffering from fibromyalgia to replace unhealthy fats such as butter with coconut oil, states Everyday Health. Other sources of omega-3 fatty acids include almonds, walnuts, salmon and flax seed oil.
Symptoms of fibromyalgia include fatigue, widespread muscle pain, sleep problems and concentration issues, explains Everyday Health. Other common symptoms include facial pain, migraines and headache; depression, mood changes and anxiety; dizziness; dry mouth, skin and eyes; and increased sensitivity to noise, touch, bright lights and odors.
