As of 2015 WebMD offers a slide show on uterine fibroids that features photos, graphics and information. The Fibroid Center at Jefferson University Hospitals also offers numerous photos of uterine fibroids that have been removed from their patients.
Uterine fibroids are benign growths in the uterus, and they most commonly form during a woman's childbearing years, reports Mayo Clinic. Although fibroids sometimes cause symptoms such as heavy and prolonged menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain and pressure, constipation, and frequent urination, they rarely develop into cancer.
Seventy to 80 percent of women experience uterine fibroids by age 50, according to WebMD. The exact cause of fibroids is still unknown.
