Medical diagnosis codes are available online at CDC.gov, ICD10Data.com and Wikipedia.org. The International Classification of Diseases, or ICD, is the short form of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, a list maintained by the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes.
As of 2015, ICD-10-CM is the current standard, according to the CDC. Due to heavy revisions after ICD-9, code translation between ICD-9 and ICD-10 is difficult. The World Health Organization is currently working on ICD-11.
The CDC website hosts downloadable ICD-10 documents in PDF or XML format. ICD10Data.com provides users with an itemized list of all codes, ordered by 21 primary classifications. Users navigate through subcategories to find the desired code.
