Several websites, such as CalorieKing, WebMD and What's Cooking America, offer either free lists or searchable databases listing specific foods and their calorie counts and other nutritional information.
CalorieKing offers users the option of searching by the type of food or brand. Users can browse foods from categories such as grains, snacks, beverages or fruits and vegetables. They also can search restaurant names to get calorie counts for food served in certain restaurants.
WebMD provides a similar service, dividing its database into a section of popular foods and popular food chains. Users also may search for specific items.
What's Cooking America offers a list detailing calories as well as fat and carbohydrates based on serving size.
