According to WebMD, it is important to limit alcohol consumption while on Diflucan. Combining the two substances dramatically increases the possibility of dizziness and impaired function.
Diflucan, also known as fluconazole, is a fungal and yeast infection remedy. It is an oral treatment that is taken with or without food. Typically, Diflucan is only taken once a day. Side effects can include nausea, vomiting, headache, stomachache, diarrhea, and dizziness. WebMD recommends patients speak with a doctor if these side effects become severe or a rash, swelling, itchiness or other side effects develop. While rare, there can be allergies to Diflucan.
