You must be an eligible senior to qualify for the free exam with Eyecare America. Eyecare America also helps people who do not have an ophthamologist, do not belong to an HMO or do not have coverage through the Veterans Administration.

Medicare offers eye exam coverage to Medicare subscribers who have special eye problems or general health problems related to eye care. This includes people with diabetes who require a dilated eye exam to look for diabetic eye disease.
