A body mass index (BMI) table is available online at WebMD. The table presents the BMI at a particular height and weight, which are given in feet and inches and pounds, respectively.
The BMI is a quantitative measure that correlates an individual's height and weight. Using the BMI, people can be categorized as having normal weight or being underweight, overweight or obese. Underweight people have a BMI below 18.5, while those who are overweight have a BMI between 25 and 29.9. Obesity indicates a BMI of 30 or higher, while people with healthy weight have a BMI that ranges from 18.5 to 24.9. Based on WebMD's table, a 6-foot tall person weighing 160 pounds has a BMI of 22.
