The American Cancer Society offers a body-mass-index, or BMI, chart for both men and women on its website as of 2015. The chart features healthy weight, overweight and obese ranges based on height and weight.
A BMI chart makes it simple to figure BMI by finding the height of the person on the left side of the chart and then the corresponding weight of the person to its right, notes the American Cancer Society. Once the weight is found on the chart, the BMI is displayed in the column header above the weight. Alternatively, BMI can be calculated manually by multiplying weight in pounds by 703 and then dividing that number by height in inches squared.
