Redotex is a Mexican diet pill composed of metabolic hormones, stimulants, a laxative and a sedative. It is the sedative diazepam and the stimulant d-norpseudoephedrine that render Redotex illegal in the United States. Diazepam is the active ingredient in the prescription sedative Valium, and d-norpseudophedrine is an amphetamine.
Schedule IV substances are legal when prescribed by a physician, but Redotex is not approved for medical use by the FDA. Since it is not an approved medication, doctors cannot legally prescribe it.Learn more about Nutrition & Diets
