Brioschi products are manufactured in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, according to the New York Times. The Brioschi company moved from New York City to one of the first U.S. industrial parks in New Jersey in 1953.
While the fizzy antacid for which Brioschi is known originated in Italy in the 1880s, immigrants brought it to New York, where it was manufactured in lower Manhattan. As of 2015, Brioschi employs 14 employees to make Brioschi antacids using sodium bicarbonate and tartaric acid made from imported grapes, the New York Times explains. The company makes 9,000 pounds of antacid each day when in production.
