The portfolio of eyeglass frames by Safilo Group S.p.A. includes both in-house brands and a variety of licensed brands. Safilo Group's house brands are Safilo, Smith Optics, Carrera, Polaroid and Oxydo. Well-known licensed brands of frames include BOSS, Dior, Fossil, Gucci, Juicy Couture and Tommy Hilfiger. Safilo Group is also licensed to produce eyewear under the brand names Banana Republic, Bobbi Brown, Céline, Fendi, Givenchy, J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Choo, Liz Claiborne, Marc Jacobs, Max Mara, Max&Co., Pierre Cardin and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Safilo Group is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of luxury and high-end eyewear. As of 2015, Safilo Group has seven production plants. There are three in Italy, and the United States, Slovenia, Scotland and China each host one. Safilo Group also outsources the production of frames intended for its Asian markets to third-party manufacturers located in Asia, Italy and the United States, but continues to oversee production and distribution in order to ensure quality.
An Italian company, Safilo Group was founded in 1934. The company's American Headquarters is located in Parsippany, New Jersey, however, in June 2015, Safilo Group announced plans to move its headquarters to its existing distribution center in Denver, Colorado. In 2014, Safilo Group's consolidated revenue was €1,178.7 million.
