Kids can be taught about the U.S. Constitution through writing assignments, videos and field trips. The National Archives, National Constitution Center and some newspapers offer lesson plans to teach about the Constitution.
High school and older elementary students can read full text of the Constitution online through the National Archives and examine current events from newspapers. Younger students can learn about the Constitution through two "Peanuts" videos and "Schoolhouse Rock" videos.
Families can visit the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, where the document was ratified, for various interactive exhibits. They can also visit the National Archives in Washington, D.C. to view the original document.
