The USO, or United Service Organization, supports troops and veterans through morale-boosting events, family care programs, volunteer services and support centers. Homes For Our Troops provides mortgage-free accessible homes for veterans in need. Our Forgotten Warriors helps injured veterans with physical care as well as transitional services and direct financial support. The Wounded Warrior Project helps wounded veterans through mental and physical rehabilitation, family support, education and training opportunities, as well as government advocacy.
Hope for the Warriors provides support for veterans and military families including medical care, retreats, events and help with career transitioning. The organization also provides scholarships and educational opportunities for spouses or caregivers of wounded veterans. The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust is a fund that helps veterans with health care and rehabilitation for physical injuries and substance abuse. It also funds research into common combat-related injuries, such as traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and supports initiatives that benefit veterans.
