Before serving as Senator, Warner was Governor of Virginia from 2002 to 2006. Warner serves on several Senate committees, including the Committee on Finance and the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
Senator Kaine also served as Governor before entering Congress; he served from 2006 to 2010. Kaine was Lieutenant Governor from 2002 to 2006 under then-Governor Warner.
