The Trans Youth Equality Foundation, or TransYouthEquality.org, is a national nonprofit organization that supports youth between the ages of 2 and 18 who identify as transgender, gender nonconforming and intersex. TYEF's mission is to address the need for high-quality resources and support services through events such as bi-annual youth retreats, an educational podcast program called TransWaves, youth workshops and spreading awareness through social media. The TransYouth Family Allies at IMATYFA.org is an organization whose focus is to create a suicide- and violence-free society where children of all backgrounds and orientations are respected and celebrated. The TransYouth Family Allies work to inform and educate communities, health care professionals, schools and other public facilities about gender identity and expression. TYFA's mission is to speak against harassment, violence and oppression toward transgender children and youth; it seeks to inform citizens and legislators alike about legalities concerning transgender youth.
