Users must have the following information to fund accounts: the facility locator number, the inmate's name and the inmate's number, reports the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. To use the telephone service, the user needs to dial the toll-free number, 866-232-1899, and have a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card available, and follow the voice prompts. Once the transaction has been completed, the user receives a confirmation number that the commissary account has been funded. Commissary accounts can also be funded online through Touchpay's system using a similar procedure and following the screen prompts. For online funding, the user needs to provide an email address to receive a confirmation number.
A fee is charged to use the system, warns the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. Bank and credit card accounts are charged under the name Touchpay Direct or Correctional Payment Services. This service is fast and convenient, and the phone and online system can be used 24 hours a day, seven days a week.Learn more about Law Enforcement
