The cost of tolls on the Garden State Parkway varies due to several factors, but can be as low as 50 cents, as of 2015. Determining factors include the entrance and exit points, and the class of the vehicle based on the number of axles, explains The Turnpike Authority.
Drivers traveling on the Garden State Parkway pay for tolls in one of two ways. The first is a cash payment when exiting the parkway or other toll point. Purchasing an EZ-Pass allows vehicles traveling on the turnpike to pay without stopping at a toll booth. Cameras scan the pass and deduct fees from its prepaid balance, according to The Turnpike Authority.
