A study performed by Statistic Brain in January 2014 shows that California had the most drunk driving arrests in 2013, with approximately 215,000. This study measures arrests by volume and not by percentage of the state's overall population.
Texas had the second-highest number of drunk driving arrests with approximately 90,000. Florida was third on the list with approximately 62,000 drunk driving arrests, followed by Pennsylvania with 53,000, North Carolina with 50,000 and Wisconsin with 41,000.
The state with the least amount of arrests in 2013 for drunk driving, with only 215, was Delaware.
Measured as a percentage of the state's overall population, these arrest numbers represent less than one tenth of one percent.
