To find the Social Security Office Locator, go to the Social Security Administration website and click on Contact Us under Items of Interest. Click on Find an Office, type in your zip code, and then select Locate. If you do not know your zip code, use the Zip Code Lookup to locate the number. The office locator gives the address, phone number, office hours, map and directions to the nearest Social Security office.

The Social Security Administration recommends that customers outside the United States apply for retirement and disability benefits online. Social Security field offices are located in a number of Canadian provinces, the British Virgin Islands and Samoa. In other countries, staff at U.S. embassies and consulates are trained to assist those who want to apply for benefits or need other Social Security services. To find contact information for Social Security personnel abroad, go to the Social Security Administration website main page, choose Contact Us, then click on Service Around the World under Special Services. Select This Is Our Current List of Countries under Foreign Countries Serviced by American Embassies and Consulates.
