SearchBug allows users to find information on both people and business using a street address in the United States. If the information is published online in phone directories, such as Whitepages or Yellow Pages, SearchBug provides the information for free. If the information is not published, SearchBug searches public records for the information and charges a small fee for the report, as of 2015.

DOBSearch.com checks over 150 million records to find information on a particular address including the company name, telephone number, the name of the owners, industry classification and years of operation. The website checks for both current and historical information up to 20 years in the past. A preview of the report on the location is free, but the site charges a fee for the full report if there are available records matching the given address.

Whitepages also allows users to search for people or businesses simply by inputting the given address in the search box under the Address tab. The PeopleSmart search tool allows users to also find the phone number, possible relatives and previous addresses of people living at the given location.
