The organization has 13 million volunteers around the globe that work to make communities safer and help communities cope with natural disasters. In America, the organization provides the same support but also helps lead specialized health and safety courses in First Aid and CPR. The Red Cross also works with family members of military personnel to help them adapt to life without their loved ones.
The Peace Corps is dedicated to making a difference globally and works in communities across the world. Volunteers join the Peace Corps and work for 2 years to help communities as teachers. These positions are also for young people who are interested in transitioning into a career after the program in the nonprofit, academic or government sectors.
UNICEF is an international organization committed to providing children with basic rights and protection, including healthy nutritious food, a safe place to live and an education.
