Experience Works is a national non-profit organization that provides training, community service and employment opportunities to senior citizens. The organization works in 30 states and Puerto Rico. Senior citizens have the opportunity to prepare for employment by participating in community service activities and building relationships in their local communities. Participants must be 55 or older.
The AARP Foundation Tax Aide is a volunteer-based program that provides tax services to low- to moderate-income earners, especially people age 60 and older. Volunteers ensure that taxpayers receive applicable deductions and credits so that they have more discretionary income for everyday essentials. The foundation provides assistance to taxpayers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The Foundation for Grandparenting is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes the importance of grandparenting, whether or not the individual has biological children. The foundation researches ways that senior citizens can use their experience to benefit their grandchildren and their communities.
