A Navy officer recruiter finds potential candidates for officer positions in the Navy and helps them get the proper training and resources they need to become qualified for the jobs. Officer recruits can come from the civilian population or from within the Navy ranks.
Aside from identifying interested candidates, a Navy officer recruiter's other duties involve preparing candidates for officer training. Officers need to have a Bachelor's degree, but they can apply for the training program before they graduate high school. The training program is fairly competitive, so a recruiter may also offer assistance in getting letters of recommendation, filling out the application and interviewing.
