MEPS is an acronym for Military Entrance Processing Station. This is where a possible recruit to the armed services undergoes examinations, including physical exams and aptitude testing. The candidate also chooses his career field at MEPS and can expect to spend two days there.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is an aptitude test given at MEPS to assist the recruit in choosing a career field. To enter the military, the recruit must be in good health. Physical exams given at MEPS test the recruit's health, eyesight, hearing and physical abilities, as well as recording height and weight measurements. At the end of the two days at MEPS, the recruit must decide whether he wants to join the armed services.
